Children are taught daily systematic synthetic phonics from the moment they arrive in Reception using the Twinkl programme validated by the Department for Education. Our lessons follow the validated systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) programme Twinkl Phonics.

All of our reading books are fully decodable and follow the sequence of our phonics programme. We ensure that the books that children read are carefully matched to the letter-sound correspondences they have learnt, enabling them to confidently apply their phonic knowledge.
