We had a wonderful visit from Lancashire Archives where we learnt how to investigate pieces of the jigsaw of history to find out about the past. We examined maps of the local area and recognised some local place names and farms. We learnt about 'Walking the Boundaries' in the days before maps and about the landmark 'Four Oaks' which have sadly gone.
