Reading

We would love for the children to keep up their fantastic reading over the summer holidays. Kirsten from Garstang library visited us today to tell us about their summer reading challenge and SCART club. All you need to do is visit the library to register. It is free and sounds like brilliant fun!

SCART CLUB presents… PLANET SAVERS SCART Club is Lancashire Library Service's Summer Activity programme for children which runs throughout the summer school holidays.

 

Garstang Library Events

Throughout the summer, Garstang Library will be holding free events to support children to complete the SCART Club challenge and to continue to read for pleasure during the holidays. Please email garstang.library@lancashire.gov.uk or pop into the library to book a place at any of the events below.

CD Creatures Wednesday 27 July 10-11am

Storytelling with Dan Worsley Tuesday 2 August 11am-12pm

Minecraft Missions Friday 5 August 3-4pm

Moth Hotels Thursday 11 August 4-5pm

Recycling Robots Saturday 13 August 10am-12pm

Nature Crafts Tuesday 16 August 11am-12pm

Cleaner & Greener Monday 22 August 11am-12pm

There will also be Lego Club, board games and activities to help children to get their Reading Champion badge every Saturday 10am-12pm. No need to book, just drop in.
