Kingfisher class took part in a Roman v Celt battle this week. They made shields at home as part of their homework and topic work about The Romans. They look great in action and their shields look so good in the corridor on display. Thank you to all the children and parents who took the time to create such fabulous homework.
We had a brilliant Christmas week before the holidays and packed so much into a fun week. Parties galore!
This month five children from the Year 5 and 6 class played Basketball. They were amazing and it was commented on by the Head of PE at Garstang Community Academy. We won our games 2-0, 3-2 and 6-0. We were pleased to hear we won the competition too!
What an amazing Nativity production this year. Thank you to everyone who came to watch and supported the raffle too. The children were fabulous and we said a huge thanks to the staff for helping to prepare and rehearse so this was another successful and celebratory Nativity.
The Lancashire Music Bus came to school. Every child went onto the bus to 'have a go' at all the many instruments and technology 'gadgets' they had on the bus. What an amazing experience. The staff from the music bus commented when they left:
"What fun we had! Amazing school with equally amazing staff and pupils.
I've had an amazing term delivering sessions on the MMV!

We are looking forward to seeing and hearing our wonderful EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 children at the Town Hall in Lancaster on March 24th 2025. The children will be singing with other schools and children to join to create a huge choir and perform on stage for everyone. Good luck and happy singing.
We are pleased and proud to share this article with you to celebrate all the hard work and dedication here at Cockerham School from the staff, children, parents and community.
A great team effort. Thank you for your continued support in making our school such a special place.
Our KS2 children went to the Coop arena in Manchester to sing at the Young Voices. What an amazing event and the children were incredible. Over 9,000 voices united together in one place. The children sang, danced and performed together and were a credit to the school, themselves and their families. Well done everyone. It was a long day but 100% worth the time and effort.
